Fall 2026 Community Classes

All classes will be starting in September unless otherwise stated.

• A community association membership is required for registration in any of these classes; for Karate with Norma a DWCA membership is required.
• Class sizes are limited due to space restrictions.
• Courses may be cancelled if registrations are below minimum numbers.

Karate with Norma (ages 4 to adult)

When: Monday evenings September 14 to June 14, 2027; Beginner class (ages 4 to 7) 6:00 pm to 6:40 pm; Intermediate class (ages 8 to adult) 6:45 pm to 8:00 pm. No classes October 12; December 21 and 28; February 15; March 29; May 24.
Where: Dieppe School, 145 Dorothy Street.
Cost: free with your family's 2026/27 DWCA membership!

Forever... in motion Leadership Training Sessions

Forever... in motion is an initiative that helps older adults become more physically active through volunteer-led physical activity groups. These leadership training sessions will help you develop and enhance the skills needed to lead a physical activity class for your peers. A Certificate of Participation will be awarded to individuals who successfully complete the entire training program by attending all four days in a session and committing to volunteering for a minimum of six months.
When: Session 1 - Tuesdays, September 15, 22, 29 and October 6, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm; Session 2 - Wednesdays, November 18, 25, and December 2, 9, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Where: Glencairn Neighbourhood Centre, 2626 Dewdney Avenue E.
Cost: Free.
